I successfully upgraded the boards to 3.0.6 which hopefully will handle our new spam problem.

we're still getting spam posts, I'll do some research and see what I can find out. My opinion is since we rely on the forums so much is we all should come together, pitch in and buy vBulletin. It's the best forum software I've ever used and is not as buggy as phpBB. As the saying goes you get what you pay.

vBulletin is $180 for a lifetime license I say we do a fund raiser or if 18 of us can pitch in $10 or 9 of us pitch in $20 and we're set.

Lets talk about this next sunday... I'm down for that

Not to make things difficult but we should also consider IPB (Invision Power Board) another one I've used in the past and is just as bad ass. It's $30 cheaper and has an auto-update spam blocker so it's always staying on top of the spammers. It includes a calendar and you can buy an Image Gallery Addon for $65 which would be cool for storing our photos. Anyhow just something to consider.
